The problem surfaces late
The customer sends the file by email or WeTransfer. Nobody looks at it until it reaches prepress, and by then fixing it costs a shift and an awkward phone call.
Entregarte comes out of years spent inside print shops, watching the same faults show up the same way: always too late.
Behind Entregarte is Vidasoft, an independent software studio. We have spent years building custom software for companies in the printing trade: order management, integrations with the production flow, portals for their customers to send artwork in.
Working inside those shops, the same scene played out over and over. The file arrives, someone opens it in prepress, and that is where the problem surfaces, with press time already booked. Then come the emails back and forth with the customer, the job stalls, and the deadline eats the margin.
Almost none of those faults were hard to catch. A missing bleed. A 72 dpi image stretched to a metre wide. A PDF with the varnish sitting in the same ink as the artwork. Things software checks in seconds, at the exact moment the customer uploads the file, rather than two days later.
Entregarte is that check, moved to the start of the process instead of the end.
The customer sends the file by email or WeTransfer. Nobody looks at it until it reaches prepress, and by then fixing it costs a shift and an awkward phone call.
Rebuilding someone else's artwork does not get invoiced, it delays everything behind it, and it leaves the shop carrying the risk that the result is not what the customer had in mind.
Bleed, safety margins, resolution, spot inks. Written out again for every job and every new customer, in the hope that this time they get read.
When a delivery stalls there is no trace of what the customer tried to upload or why it was turned away. The argument becomes your word against theirs.
Validations run the moment the customer drops the file. Fixing it then costs minutes for the person who caused the problem, instead of a shift for the person who did not.
Bleed, resolution, size and separations are measurable: software measures them and the answer is the same every time. AI only steps in where judgement is genuinely needed, never to decide something that can already be calculated.
Entregarte does not reject jobs on its own. It puts in writing what failed and why, with the history of every attempt, and you decide.
Vidasoft is an independent software studio based in Spain. We build and maintain Entregarte, and we keep sharpening it alongside the print shops using it every day. If your workflow has a quirk Entregarte does not cover yet, we want to hear about it.
